Specialist Support...
Services for Families

Families are very important to most of us and we work closely with family members and advocates so that we can benefit from their knowledge and experience.

Our Approach to Supporting Families

We help maintain or build relationships with relatives and other people who are important as appropriate.

We know that families and advocates have a lot of knowledge about their relative or friend and we welcome working with you in the planning stage and throughout the time we provide support.

Therefore, we will:

  • encourage regular contact, including visits
  • send invitations to review meetings
  • help with communication
  • define roles and responsibilities

We will also keep you up to date with how we are supporting your relative or friend and ensure that you are involved.

We also welcome your involvement more broadly in our organisation.

Specialist Support

We provide support for adults and children with a learning disability, complex needs, acquired brain injury, physical disability, dementia, mental health needs and autism.

We know it can be difficult for young disabled people to move from services for children to services for adults, which is why we offer transitional care for young disabled people.

We are a family of four with two adults at 22 years who require additional support. One has learning difficulties and the other is registered blind/partially sighted and has Cerebral Palsy, so both require different support. Flexi Care has met both their needs without a doubt. I would not hesitate to recommend Flexi Care to any family or individual who requires support at home or in the community. The support staff are punctual and friendly and we see them more as friends now than support for our boys. Flexi Care has made a massive difference to their lives as well as our own...
